Feburary 5, 2012 little Avery Grace decided to grace us with her presence. She was a gorgeous 7 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long! I was so excited when I received the phone call on Friday morning! Daniel drove to Louisiana as soon as I got out of my last class and got to see little Avery the next morning in the hospital and welcome her home later that afternoon. I was so sad when I had to leave on Sunday knowing that I had to wait until Spring Break to see my niece again...it'll be weird not getting to see her as much as I see Annelise, but I know that the times I do get to spend with her will be just as special. Congratulations Jessica and Jeff! And welcome to the world Miss Avery Grace! I love you all!

I was blessed to be apart of the Riemer family vacation this past week! We woke up and got on the road around 4 am on Wednesday and arrived in Illinois that evening. We visited some of their family up there so it was really great to get to know some of Daniel's extended family. Also, I got to experience snow! I sledded, walked on ice, saw it snow, built a snowman, and had snowball fights! I had a blast and I was so excited that I was asked to be apart of this trip!

So I know I complain about not understanding why college is supposed to be the best days of your life. However, it's days like these where I really feel blessed. It was a simple day but I guess it's the little things in life that are important and the days like today that people really remember. The only class I had today was Ballet (my favorite class). Daniel picked me up after wards and we went to the mall to find his mom a birthday present, of course we stopped in the puppy store as well. After that we had lunch together at Panda Express (yummy) and then decided to find the local Brazos Valley Animal Shelter... It broke my heart to see all the puppies in there just looking for a little love. Whenever I get to have a dog I definitely want to adopt one! After we played with the puppies for an hour or so I dropped Daniel off at work and went home to pack, only to find surprise flowers on my desk! I feel so special :) Needless to say, it was a pretty good day.
